WHAT: A 25th anniversary celebration and fundraiser for Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions, a non-profit interdisciplinary contemporary visual arts center. Organized with a sharp eye on the future, and informed by this organizations impressive and notorious, outrageous and prescient past, the 25th Anniversary Benefit Art Auction and Gala will be a festive event that will embody all the creativity and excitement our audience has come to expect from Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions. WHO: Contemporary artworks by some of Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions most legendary artist alumni as well as some of the most important visual artists working today will be auctioned live at the 25th Anniversary Benefit Art Auction. Contributing artists include Eleanor Antin, Tom LaDuke, Ed Moses, Karin Apollonia Müller, Allan Sekula, Alexis Smith, Frances Stark, Nancy Rubins, Marnie Weber, Bruce Yonemoto and many more. Additionally, a silent auction will showcase and celebrate exciting design and highlight furniture, architecture, and décor by well-known designers and architects. Every year this event has been a highlight on the calendars of area collectors of contemporary art and a lively social event in which art patrons, collectors, gallery owners, and young professionals mingle with many of the artists whose works are available. Now, presented with the amazing once-in-a-lifetime 25th anniversary opportunity, a grand Gala Dinner will set the stage for this years Annual Auction. Both the Dinner and the Auction will raise important funds that will help build the foundation on which to achieve another twenty-five years of challenging and unique programming.
