Entitled “Boy,” this chromogenic print from 1999 is a golden-hued image of the sensual face of a nameless young man with an inexplicable, enigmatic expression. Since 1990 Jack Pierson has had numerous solo exhibitions at galleries and institutions worldwide including Museum of Contemporary Art in Miami, Rosenwald-Wolf Gallery at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. His work was most recently seen in Los Angeles this summer at Regen Projects, which represents him, in a show entitled “Self Portraits.” Pierson lives and works in both New York and Southern California.
