An emerging Los Angeles-based artist, Kim Schoenstadt has a keen interest in manipulating the process of drawing, including creating audible artworks derived from the sounds made while drawing. In her practice Schoenstadt strives to push the limits of drawing, an activity often associated with “study” rather than a finished artwork. With a BFA from Pitzer College, Schoenstad’s work has been seen in solo exhibitions in New York and Los Angeles as well as in numerous group exhibitions since 2000, including "Das Spyder-Män" at Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibtions. Her work will be featured in the upcoming Lodz Biannale in Poland.
