This cardstock collage, a new medium for Monique Prieto, is reminiscent of her paintings, with their flat colored abstract shapes on raw canvas. Her works can be found in more then a half dozen public collections, and recent exhibitions include a solo show at Il Capricornio in Venice, Italy and solo shows at both Cheim & Read of New York and Corvi-Mora of London. Prieto earned both her MFA and BFA from the California Institute of the Arts, as well as a BFA from UCLA. She lives and works in Los Angeles, where she is represented by Acme.
