Fallen Fruit
FALLENFRUIT is an online text, image and mapping project by Dave Burns, Matias Viegener and Austin Young. It is an ongoing community activist artwork that maps all the fruit trees growing on or over public property in Los Angeles and other American cities. First published as an artist’s project in The Journal of Aesthetics and Protest, FALLEN FRUIT has been included in a variety of art gallery shows including MESSHALL in Chicago, WORKS gallery in San Jose, CA, The Armory Center in Pasadena, and will be part of forthcoming projects at LACE (Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions) in Hollywood, CA in 2006.
