Veronica Wiman is an independent curator and writer. Since some years she has curated independently internationally. Her general interest lies in the interdisciplinary in art and socially integrated projects, exploring relational expressions and public space. In 2005 she was a curator in residency at ISCP in New York and NIFCA in Helsinki. Among other projects she is currently involved in, the Art Collection of European Patent Office, "Pure Consciousness" - On Kawara in the Caribbean, ACCESS- a nomadic and portable Institution. She is on the board and co founder of FOCS (Organized curators in Sweden) and the department of project grants at the City Arts Council in Stockholm. She worked as a coordinator for the 7th Istanbul Biennial 2001. Among other exhibitions and projects she curated “Snownoise” by Cartsen Nicolai in Kaoshiung (Taiwan) 2001, “Pure Consciousness” with On Kawara 2002 in Lund (Sweden), “Definitely Maybe” in Istanbul (Turkey), Beyond Adornment (Touring exhibition 2002- 2004 Istanbul, Tokyo, Budapest, Sweden), “Rhythm is a dancer, it´s a soul´s companion, you can feel it everywhere” in Stockholm (Kulturhuset, Sweden), “l´Amour” (Touring exhibition 2003-2004, Bamako, Los Angeles, Budapest), “ICI!” in Nantes (France), “Hale Tenger, Fusun Onur, Aydan Murtezaouglu” in Lund (Lunds Konsthall in Sweden). She was part of the curatorial team of Radiodays on www.radiodays.rog and De Appel Amsterdam. She recently took part of CTP at De Appel in Amsterdam, she has a BA, Art history and sociology, master’s courses in film theory and aesthetics, Lund University and Art History department, University of Copenhagen). “Made in China,” post-graduate course on contemporary art and architecture at the Royal Academy of Art in Stockholm.)
