About LACE
LACE both champions and challenges the art of our time by fostering artists who innovate, explore, and risk.  We move within and beyond our four walls to provide opportunities for diverse publics to engage deeply with contemporary art.  In doing so, we further dialogue and participation between and among artists and those audiences. Since 1978, LACE has supported many of today’s most influential artists early in their careers — Laurie Anderson, Chris Burden, Mike Kelley, Suzanne Lacy, Linda Nishio, Adrian Piper, Johanna Went, David Wojnarowicz, and Bruce and Norman Yonemoto are just a few of the 5,000+ artists that have exhibited with LACE.
